New ways of managing hypertension

Successful control of hypertension is often a major challenge. Researchers at Brigham and Women’s Hospital conducted a pilot study using several novel approaches that did not require regular visits to a doctor’s practice.

The study included the use of a Bluetooth-enabled blood pressure device and telephonic management of patients. A true example of technology improving healthcare.
